6 September: V/A exibition: Disobedient Object

Disobedient Object. Exibition at V/A

“No honest journalist should be willing to describe himself or herseif as 'embedded.'
To say, 'I'm an embedded journalist' is to say, 'I'm a government Propagandist.”
Noam Chomsky

In the exibition there was a few objects that I feel connected, but at the end I choose two elements about the protest in Syria:  "Graffiti stencil from Syria", by Zaher Omareen and Ibrahim Fakhri (2012) and the particular of the can of spray.

I choose this object because I have protest for Syria and for Gaza and I'm still protest for this two silent genocide.
I'm in contact with an Italian Charity that provide food, dress and medicine for the Aleppo's camp in Syria. They to a big work there, and I hope to go with them in the next year.

I'm very passionate about protest, civil right and war because I really can't accept the fact the poor were defetead and beaten every time. I can't accept the big major media talk about this causes just when it's "cool". We don't hear anything about Sudan, but there's a fight that turn milion of people to live in precarious condition, without food and water. Media don't talk about the civil war in Darfur or in the Sri-Lanka or about the genocide in Rwanda, but this situation exist.

Just because thay don't talk about it, it dosen't mean they don't exist.

I do research about the authors and I found an event on Facebook with one of them. Here you can see my questions about the meaning of the graffiti. The author himself answered my question, an this is was very interesting!

In my past I already did an illustration plus stencil for protest. When the case of the Berlusconi's girl blew up, his wife Veronica Lario ask for divorce after the world found sex-connection between Berlusconi (at that moment, Prime Minister) and 18-years old Noemi Letizia.
This my illustration:

Sky TG24 and the Italy's recession:

(Translation: man on the couch: "Honey! Sky Tg 24 says Italy is in recession" woman: ".. and I thought it was up s**t creek..")

Deregulation of hunting in Italy:
Leonardo Da Vinci's quote: "For whoever does not respect life, does not deserve it."
