The first project is titled "Inventive Titles" and it's all about the basis of the titles of a film/tv program and the knowledge of the film genre.
During the lesson we have seen different film titles from the main author/designer, all from the website artofthetitle.com. A lot of this film I never seen, basically because I tend to avoid thriller/horror movies, they put my anxious at very high level.
During the lesson we have talked about "Le voyage dans la lune", a silent film directed by Georger Méliés. I already seen the little part with the moon/face, but I never seen the film. This goes in the list of film I need to see before the end of this week.I really love the atmosphere, but the quality of the video I found it on youtube, makes me very difficult understand some part as the costume, scenography etc.
After we look throug a few title sequence, starting with the works of SAUL BASS, famous designer, that invented the title sequence as a forms of Arts. He collaborate with many Directors, as Hitchcock.
